Footage from March 13, 1963 shows Jim Fortner playing baseball, throwing, catching, batting and running the bases with ease. However, Jim is unlike almost every baseball player he plays with at the University of Washington, or any school for that matter. Jim was born without legs and plays the game with two prosthetic legs. He also played golf and basketball off the diamond.
