Jean Driscoll: A Champion Then and Now
Before there was Tatyana McFadden smashing world records in wheelchair racing there as Jean Driscoll. Jean won 2 Olympic Medals and 12 Paralympic medals in here 20 year career which spanned till 2000.
She is now leading others into the sport of wheelchair racing by hosting camps internationally in the sport. Traveling to Ghana, West Africa she conducted several wheelchair racing clinics there that led to that country’s first-ever Paralympic team. A graduate of University of Illinois she has left a lasting legacy.
