Tatyana McFadden won her fourth gold medal in the women’s 800m T54 and goes for one more in the marathon Sunday. Among the other multi-medalists, Cuba’s Omara Durand captured her third gold medal in as many tries in the women’s 400m T12, Netherlands’ Marlou can Rhijn produced the double with a win in the women’s 100m T44, and Germany’s Markus Rehm jumped 8.21m on his final jump to win gold – what would have been 5th place in the Olympics.

Sarah Storey’s win in the women’s road race C4-5 gave her three golds in Rio.
In the men’s race, the Paralympic Games mourn the death of Iranian cyclist Bahman Golbarnezhad following an accident during the race. A moment of silence will be held at the Closing Ceremony.

Brazil is the Paralympic champion in Football 5-a-side with a 1-0 win over Iran. Argentina snagged the bronze medal.

In women’s sitting volleyball, the U.S. did the unthinkable, beating China in straight sets to claim their first Paralympic gold medal. Brazil landed on the podium with bronze.

The U.S. defeated Canada by five goals and Australia downed Japan by six, making for a U.S. – Australia goal medal final in wheelchair rugby.

Jessica Long managed her first gold medal in Rio in the women’s 200m individual medley SM8, while Great Britain’s Oliver Hynd landed his second gold medal and fifth overall in the men’s event.
