Sochi, Russia: 3/9/14

United States Athlete Tyler Walker was competing at the 2014 Winter Paralympic Games in the Alpine Skiing Downhill event on Saturday when things took a turn for the worse.  Walker crashed in spectacular fashion and had to be airlifted to the hospital.  Sustaining a concussion he is recovering fine following this event.  It is uncertain if he will return to competition.

“I’m ok! I don’t remember crashing but I didn’t break anything. Thanks so much for all the support, it means everything. I totally got a ride in a Russian helicopter, though!” Tyler Walker via Facebook.
